Société Générale
Société Générale: Virtual Workplace
After the successful introduction of virtual desktop technology at its subsidiary Komerční banka, Société Générale decided in 2019 to also strategically implement this in other countries.
Société Générale is one of the largest financial services companies in Europe.
At the same time as desktop virtualization, an IT competence center was set up. Today, applications can be distributed more quickly in the international subsidiaries, and the project has significantly reduced operating costs and the total cost of ownership of IT.
"The clear reduction in the TCO for IT, the rapid spread of new applications and the modernization of the business model of our subsidiary Komerční banka convinced us. We have taken up the company's initiative and incorporated it into our global strategy." Robert Roemer, Program Manager, Société Générale, summarizes the reasons.
